Surprisingly, Christian Bacasa and John Childress met through LinkedIn, a common social media platform for business executives. Both figures had a shared passion for leadership and fly fishing, and it was John who instigated the initial engagement.

 

John has a long history in executive leadership consulting for organizations such as CNH Industrial, Textron, McDonald’s, British Gas, Florida Power & Light, and numerous Fortune 1000 companies. Christian brings leadership experience from Black Diamond Equipment, Oracle Corporation, HireVue, ProofPoint, and his own business, Dupe a Fish, LLC.

 

Passion for fly fishing runs through their veins, and they have traveled the world exploring and appreciating exotic, remote locations. Their combined experiences have created Fly Fishing for Leadership, a book composed of stories from over seventy business executives, lodge owners, guides, and others in the fly fishing industry.
